Cameo Launches Its Own Ethereum Based NFT Pass, Includes Expanded Celebrity Access

The popular app that enables people to buy personalized messages from celebrities and influencers will now offer exclusive events and merch.

The popular app Cameo, which enables people to buy personalized video messages from celebrities and online influencers, is going NFT. The firm made an official announcement today, unveiling Cameo Pass, an Ethereum based NFT that works like a ticket to unlock numerous exclusive experiences and perks.

Cameo Pass is expected to launch on February 17th by way of OpenSea, and shall sell for 0.2 ETH, and serve as an access pass to the new membership club that Cameo has to offer. As for what the pass features, it includes artwork from Burnt Toast, the artist behind Doodles, Vinnie Hager, an NFT artist as well as cartoonist Luke McGarry, who has already been making use of Cameo to sell his artwork.

NFT Holders of Cameo Pass can expect to unlock access to both future live as well as online events, which would, of course, include parties at the Cameo House in Beverly Hills, meet and greet opportunities as well as online Q&A sessions with celebrities. In addition to that, the startup also offers exclusive merchandise and access to a Cameo location that’s built in a metaverse world.

Cameo seeks to reinvest funds from the sales of their NFT into the future of Web3 efforts and explorations since the company wishes to embrace fan-centric experiences which would be backed by decentralized technology, per a company representative.

NFTs are a venture that’s experiencing quite the surge, with the biggest project in this endeavor being the Bored Ape Yacht Club. This project is a certified favorite of many a celebrity, too, like Eminem, Jimmy Fallon, and even Snoop Dogg. The Bored Ape Yacht Club treats itself as an exclusive club, with holders of their NFTs gaining access to private online communities, as well as exclusive merchandise drops and even additional free NFTs, too.
