He made the purchase of one of the Ethereum-based Apes for 123.45 ETH ($452,000) on Thursday, and since then, has kept the ape as his Twitter profile picture. In the meantime, it would appear he has amassed at least 15 NFTs so far on the OpenSea under the name of Shady Holdings.
It goes without saying Eminem is one of the most popular artists of all time, and also one of the best-selling ones, having sold over 220 million records across the globe. “Lose Yourself” is also the song that made him the only rapper to have won an Academy Award and a Golden Globe for Best Original Song. The song was featured in the movie “8 Mile.” On top of that, he’s also won various American Music Awards, as well as 15 Grammy awards.
GeeGazza, also a member of the BAYC, was the one to sell Eminem the blonde ape, as he made an announcement today regarding the sale becoming a reality and how he feels it’s “madness,” also remarking that “I’m living in a simulation.” Eminem has yet to comment on the sale publicly.
I’m living in a simulation.
Thank you @Eminem for buying my ape and joining the club!

He’d been hoping to make this sale with Eminem for quite a while, now. In November, he said “I still think Eminem is destined to buy my Bored Ape one day.” He further admitted, “You don’t understand how long I’ve been manifesting that Eminem buys my ape.”
Six, the digital agency is the one to take credit for the BAYC NFT sale to Eminem, also writing on Twitter that their agency which is creator-focused, was integral in making sure this sale happened. They’re also dubbing this the “Eminape.”
Previously, the group has worked with the Wu-Tang Clan, as well as Tycho and Galantis on other projects.
With his new ape now bought and paid for, Eminem now joins various other celebs like NBA’s very own Stephen Curry, not to mention Jimmy Fallon, who are also members of the BAYC.
