PlaySide Studios to collaborate with Shiba Inu on New Strategy Game, CEO Makes A Statement

With an 8 month development cycle, PlaySide is set to create a multiplayer collectible card game.

PlaySide Studios Limited, Australia’s largest video game developer has announced that they’ve entered into a new deal with Shiba Inu Games as part of a material fixed price work-for-hire agreement.

Under the agreement, the development cycle for which will be 8 months, PlaySide is set to work on production, design, engineering, art, UI, and experience development services, providing them to Shiba Inu Games as they work on a new game. The game’s development has been confirmed to be drawing from the art of Shiba token’s ‘Shiboshi’ NFT and will also feature card collection, strategy, and battle mechanics. This game, pitched as a multiplayer collectible card game (CCG) is targeting a release on multiple platforms on a proposed launch date in Q1 FY23.

The agreement is a fixed-price development one, and won’t include revenue share. PlaySide will be paid in USD with no trading of crypto of any kind as part of the agreement.

PlaySide CEO Gerry Sakkas made a statement regarding the agreement, stating that “PlaySide continues to demonstrate its capability to partner with leaders across a range of fields within interactive entertainment including leading influencers and global gaming brands. To add a new games client that has emerged from the popular NFT, the token, and decentralized cryptocurrency industry is very exciting for us,”.

He further continued, “Emerging technologies continue to gather pace and this is an ideal opportunity for PlaySide to collaborate in this field, expand our skill base and showcase our development capabilities. The scale of the agreement with Shiba Inu Games is also significant and highlights the depth of our capabilities as we continue to grow our business.”
