A Secret network established collective and its developer SCRT labs have purchased the legendary filmmaker, Quentin Tarantino’s NFT for a sum total of $1.1 million.

Royale with Cheese“, the landmark NFT in question, acts as an ode to the infamous scene from the nigh iconic Pulp Fiction. This is the 1st of 7 non-fungible tokens to be sold on Secret Network from Tarantino’s original, never-before-seen screenplay of the movie.

Thanks to his collaboration with SCRT Labs, Tarantino has been successful in transforming 7 chapters from the movie into ‘one-of-a-kind NFT publications’, each NFT consisting of an iconic scene and unique manuscript from the film, in addition to audio commentary from the director himself.

The debut NFT sale having been officiated, the remaining 6 chapters feature more iconic scenes from the movie and are to be held at daily auctions taking place from Jan 24th to Jan 31st.

AnonDAO was the one to purchase the NFT and is the Secret Network’s very first NFT collective. It won the auction following a rather fierce competition in the form of a series of 6 and 7 bids for the asset.

AnonDAO collective features influential figures that span across the blockchain space, and now it aims to use the newly acquired NFT as a way to demonstrate the privacy and support strengths that advance relevant infrastructure.

Not too long after the news of this NFT collection was announced by Tarantino did it feel like Miramax, the producer of the movie, would be getting in the way, and thus, the collection wasn’t going to proceed as planned. Despite the attack, however, Tarantino persevered and still went ahead with the release of the NFTs to not only commemorate the film but also share his reaction with fellow Pulp Fiction fans.
